Hello, I'm Sofia
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent. An expat based in Rome, Italy.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to Italy wasn't in the master plan. As with many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were intense — new systems, new habits, new expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than expected.
The Transition Phase
There was culture shock, doubt, and a lot of hands-on learning. Gradually, routines took shape. We found spots that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Started YsnuGizuVis
Most online guidance was either corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism content. What was missing was a candid, everyday family point of view.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Italy.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- This site provides practical insights from living in Italy
- Centered on family living and day-to-day realities
- Updated only when meaningful changes occur
This site ISN'T:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a platform for sponsored reviews
- Not a general travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Italy goes on, and so does our learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I will continue to document our discoveries.
If you have questions about family life in Rome or anywhere in Italy, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
